Four to six years

Children’s House is our Montessori environment for children aged 4 to 6 years. At this stage, children are increasingly able to work with concentration, take responsibility, communicate ideas and participate confidently in a learning community.
School readiness matters, but we continue to see readiness broadly: independence, self-care, problem-solving, social confidence and a love of learning all matter too.

Concentration
Longer periods of purposeful work help children strengthen focus, perseverance and confidence.

Readiness
Language, early mathematics, social confidence and practical competence support a broad transition toward school.
Forest Montessori
Learning still belongs outside.
As children grow older, nature, movement and real-life experiences remain part of the wider programme. Outdoor experiences support observation, responsibility, confidence and connection with the environment.
